Round Pond Family Camp, West Point, New
York
Delightful setting in the woods.
Gravel sites, mostly level. Water & Electrical (50A). Lots of
wildlife. TV & Satellite reception is poor because of the high
mountains. Easy access to base for Commissary (large one) and
Exchange.
Caution: Very mountainous
region. Steep grades and narrow roads.

Family Camp, Camp Atterbury, Edinburgh,
Indiana
sides. There are 16 pull thru RV site and 7 back in sites.
All are gravel and mostly level with about 1/2 offering 50A
service. All offer W/S/E. They have showers, laundry, and ice, all
free! The charges are currently $8 daily. They don't accept credit
cards but will take personal checks.
The first night there we watched a buck
(4 pointer), and 3 does grazing nearby. There would be an se.
Downside: no modem hook-up, no
cable.

Fort Bliss RV Park, El Paso, Texas
Wow! We
thought West Point was a fine Army campground, this place is something
else. 73 Pull-Thru spaces with full hook-ups. These have concrete
pads, picnic tables, built in grills and a lovely view of the Franklin
Mountains. Located in the Logan Heights area of Northeast El Paso it is
one of the newest and most modern Military RV Parks we've seen.
From here you're
close to Downtown, the Army Base, the Airport, and even Mexico. The club
house is very nice with a kitchen for your use, exercise equipment and two,
count them, TWO modem hook-ups! Lovely showers and a very nice laundry
facility. There is even a small shopette (from the Exchange) just across
the street from the park. $90 weekly, hard to beat!
Downside: No cable and very close
to busy highway U.S. 54.

pads. Each lot has concrete driveways, pad's, picnic table and barbeque
grill. Full hook-ups including cable. Lot's of room for
boon-docking. You can reserve a spot for up to 6 months. Great
